Zero Motorcycles recalls XB motorcycles over rear shock linkage that could break
On certain motorcycles the rear shock linkage could break, letting the rear drop suddenly and stop the rear wheel, which could cause a loss of stability or control and raise the risk of a crash.
What to do
Do not ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed. Zero Motorcycles will notify owners by mail. Take your motorcycle to a dealership to have the rear shock linkage replaced.

Zero issued a recall on the XB model
- Issue
- On certain motorcycles, the rear shock linkage could break. As a result, the rear of the motorcycle could drop suddenly and contact and stop the rear wheel. This could cause a sudden loss of stability and/or loss of control.
- Safety risk
- A loss of stability or control could increase the risk of a crash.
- Corrective actions
- To reduce the safety risk, Zero Motorcycles advises not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed. Zero Motorcycles will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the rear shock linkage.
