Altec recalls 2022–2023 AA55, AM55, AN46 and AN55 vehicles over missing boom hose check valve
A check valve that keeps oil in the boom hoses may not have been installed, which can let a vacuum form and reduce the upper boom's insulation, so electricity could reach the operator or others touching the vehicle, risking injury and death.
What to do
Altec will give owners instructions to inspect their vehicles for the check valve, and Altec service will install it as necessary, free of charge. Owners may call Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 and cite recall number CSN 3272.
