Gillig recalls 2023–2026 Low Floor transit buses over high voltage cable that could overheat
A splice in the high voltage cable linking the inverter to the drive unit lowers how much current the cable can safely carry, so it may overheat and raise the risk of a fire.
What to do
Gillig will reprogram the software as a temporary fix and later replace the high voltage cable, both free of charge. Owners can call Gillig customer service at 1-800-735-1500; letters are expected to be mailed July 27, 2026.
