Hyundai recalls 2026 Palisade and Palisade Hybrid over seat belt buckle wiring that can fail

Wiring inside the third-row driver-side seat belt buckle may become damaged and make the dashboard always show that seat as belted, so it may not warn of an unfastened belt, raising the risk of injury.

What to do

Dealers will install a wiring harness extension and replace the seat belt assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 and refer to recall number 297.
