Volvo Trucks recalls 2025–2027 VNL and 2026–2027 VNR trucks over brakes that may work poorly with tanker trailers
Trucks with a tanker package may miscalculate axle load, which can weaken braking while hauling smoothbore tanker trailers and means a longer stopping distance and a higher risk of a crash.
What to do
Dealers will install new software free of charge to turn off the dynamic trailer braking calculations. Owners can call Volvo Trucks customer service at 800-528-6586 and cite recall number RVXX2610.
