Great Dane recalls 2024–2025 Champion trailers over liftgate pin that can seize
A pin in the slide liftgate may not have enough lubricant and can seize, which can make the liftgate fail while it is being used and raises the risk of injury.

- Great Dane Trailers (Great Dane) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Champion trailers. The cylinder pin in the slide liftgate may be insufficiently lubricated, which can cause the pin to seize, resulting in lift gate failure.
- Consequence
- A lift gate that fails during operation increases the risk of injury.
- Corrective action
- Great Dane will work with Hiab to replace the lift gate cylinder pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 28, 2026. Owners may contact Great Dane's customer service at 1-877-369-3493.
